An Uplifting Journey to Sustainability
An Uplifting Journey to Sustainability
Take a moment to look at our step-by-step flow chart for getting started. I know, it may seem like a lot, but let's look closely at each step, and where to go.
Before you start making an impact, you should always learn more about environmental issues. To get started, go to the "Learn More" Page (Quick Link below).
Now, acknowledge your mission, and what you want to work on. It's always different for certain locations on what you should prioritize on; and what you can do depending on your conditions. After you've thought about it, it's a good idea to write it down, as you'll need it in the next step. To learn how to create your mission, go to the quick link below.
You can search through my extensive list of resources with a mission on what you want to do (Quick Link below). It has quite a lot of tips and recommendations, so take your time, and don't worry about doing everything. I find it helpful to focus on a few things, and then once you're comfortable with the change, start with something else.
Connecting with others is key. When we are able to learn more from people passionate about the earth like you, we can create a bigger impact. I do not know all the resources in the universe, and all the ways you can help, so always learn from others!
Now that you have resources and ideas from this site and others, you can take action! There is a Quick Link below to learn how to make an eco-schedule using your goals.
This step is totally up to you! After Learning, Researching, Connecting and Taking Action, it's time to share! Share your experiences with family, friends, eco groups, or anyone! The more people that learn, the more of an impact we can make together! Once you have completed all the steps, feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions, and listen to our magazines made possible by the Social and Environmental Justice Magazine at Stanford Online High School!
Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
As long as you'd like! You could take 5 minutes, or 2 hours (that may be an exaggeration). Take your time with this journey, but don't forget to have fun!
